It’s always 5’o clock somewhere, right? Travelers in Pai should prepare for the most epic time of the day at one of the incredible bars found in and around this Northern Thai city. Here, a list of things to do in Pai after dark, including a list of the best bars, live music venues, and more. Cheers!

Why Not? Bar

There could not be a more appropriate title for a bar than ‘Why Not?’ Whether you are determining if you should grab another round of Changs or call the number on the bathroom wall, this is one bar you are guaranteed to have a good time at. Take to the pool table and hit a few balls around or instead sit on the edge of Pai Walking Street and people watch while getting your buzz on.

Boom Bar

Situated in the heart of the city center of Pai is Boom Bar. If you are looking for a venue to meet fellow backpackers at, try your hand at beer pong, enjoy affordable cocktails, or bust a move to some rapid techno beats, this is the bar to frequent. Boom Bar opened in November 2014 and has been a hit amongst visitors ever since. Oftentimes crowds spill onto the street with drinks in hands enjoying the live DJ and chatting with their fellow night owls. Boom Bar also features live music a few times a week. The place is almost always packed, as well, making it a great place to meet people.

Jikko Beer is found on the same street as the Pai night market.
