One-Day Tour of the City of Ayutthaya from Bangkok

  • Explore the incredible UNESCO World Heritage Site of Ayutthaya
  • Have our local, expert guide by your side the entire time
  • See a handful of ancient temples built thousands of years ago
  • Indulge in a local, Thai lunch that is both delicious and filling

Ayutthaya is one city that you cannot miss exploring while visiting us in the capital. It is only about 70 kilometres north of Bangkok. Once you arrive in Ayutthaya, you will first visit Wat Phu Khao Thong. You will then venture with our local guide to Wat Lokaya Sutha Ram, where you will see the image of the reclining Buddha. Afterwards, you will see Wat Yai Chai Mong Khon. It is made up of a large, central chedi shaped like a bell and newly sculpted Buddhas surrounding its exterior. The Buddhist temple was constructed in the 14th century in Ayutthaya.

Afterwards, you will visit the famous Wat Mahathat, the temple where a large stone Buddha head is found nestled amongst the branches of a tree and surrounded by temple ruins. After building up an appetite while exploring the city, it is time for a local Thai lunch at a quaint restaurant in Ayutthaya. After lunch, you will venture to the ancient palace, Wat Phra Si Sanphet, and Viharn Phra Mongkol Bopit, one of the largest bronze Buddhas in the country. This is the best Ayutthaya tour in the city, so do not miss out!
