Located a 45 minute ride from El Nido, it’s the perfect place to relax in the Philippines: sunbathe, swim, sip a coconut, live the dream. Of course, this is Mad Monkey, so we also have a rad beachfront bar and party scene. Our Nacpan restaurant serves mouthwatering local and international dishes hot off the grill. Our dorm rooms are cheap and our friendly staff will be happy to help you sort out transportation and tours.

Nacpan Beach El Nido Backpackers Accommodation

Welcome to Mad Monkey Nacpan Beach. Nacpan is one of the highest-rated beaches in the Philippines, and home to one of the most awesome Palawan beach resorts your money can buy.

If you haven’t put travel in Palawan at the top of your Philippines travel bucket list then you need to reconsider your plans. Stunning Nacpan Beach is just a short hop from all the El Nido hotels and resorts in a trike and offers one of the most deserted, pristine beaches in the Philippines. We offer shared dorms of various sizes. Each one has an open-air layout overlooking the sea and the beach. Our cheap and clean accommodation in Nacpan Beach provides each guest with a private bed “pod” surrounded by bamboo for optimal privacy, within a social dorm setting.

We also offer four bed and six bed dorms that can be booked as shared accommodation or private accommodation for small groups.  Each bed has a large 1.2 metre mattress, a mosquito net, and small personal fan.  Each dorm faces onto the Nacpan beachfront and the sea. It’s the quintessential perfect vacation view for chilling out and relaxing.

Socially Responsible Hostel in El Nido Philippines

Mad Monkey Hostels is a socially responsible business. The company was with a purpose: to actively contribute to our communities around every hostel. This is always our first priority when opening a new hostel. Before construction was even complete on Mad Monkey Nacpan Beach, our team had already gotten involved locally by building and painting a wall around the local primary school to keep students safe.

We also regularly donate to the feeding program for malnourished kids in Nacpan Beach and we are working to deliver clean water projects using deep bore wells to ensure that local families and children have access to clean and safe drinking water.

Mad Monkey Nacpan’s grand opening party was able to generate enough money to donate computers, a printer, and 70 science books to the local primary school. Our 2017 Christmas donation to the school ensured that each of its 300 students received 2kg of rice along with either a backpack, a coloring book, or a school kit to support them in their education.

Beyond our education initiatives and clean water projects we are also helping to protect the local environment.  Mad Monkey runs regular beach clean ups to remove plastics and other litter from the beach. We also help to protect the sea turtle nests on our beach and coordinate with the local turtle sanctuary to ensure that these magnificent creatures have a safe place to hatch.

Backpackers Tours of Nacpan Beach & El Nido

We run our own custom El Nido Island Hopping Tour multiple times every week. The tour is a “Tour A & C Combo” that combines the best sites from the popular Tour A and Tour C island hopping routes. Your boat will pick you up right from Mad Monkey Hostel, and drop you off again at the end of the day. In between you’ll visit Big Lagoon, Secret Beach, and many other gorgeous locations.

Our friendly reception staff can also help you organize other island hopping tours around El Nido, including Duli Beach Surfing, Waterfall Tours, and a full schedule of tours of the areas surrounding our hostel. If you want to experience the real Nacpan Beach, this is the way to do it.

How to get to El Nido & then Nacpan Beach

Most backpackers in the Philippines will fly into Palawan via Puerto Princesa International Airport. There are direct flights to Puerto Princesa from Manila and other major cities in the Philippines. Check Cebu Pacific or Philippine Airlines for flights. You can also fly direct to El Nido from Boracay and other locations around the Philippines with Air Swift.

You can catch a bus or mini van from Puerto Princesa to El Nido town. Once you’re in El Nido, Nacpan Beach is just a 30-40 minute ride away. Regular mini vans run this route every day. You can also find a trike driver to take you. Whenever you’re looking to travel from El Nido to Nacpan Beach, there will be several transportation options available.

Do remember that the Mad Monkey is super busy. It’s key to book ahead online. If you turn up expecting to book a room on the spot, you’re likely to be disappointed. It would be a shame not to get to host you here at our Mad Monkey beach resort, so do the smart thing and make your booking today!

How To Get To Our Hostel

Nacpan Beach is about a 45-minute ride from El Nido town. It’s a popular destination, so any tricycle driver in El Nido will know the way if you ask for a ride to Nacpan Beach.

You can also get yourself to Nacpan Beach by motorbike. Some of the key roads along the route don’t have posted names, so we’d recommend having someone navigate for you while you drive. Here are the directions:

  • From El Nido town go north on Taytay-El Nido National Highway
  • At the fork in the road turn left over the bridge
  • Continue until you see a red sign that says ‘Nacpan Beach’
  • Turn off on the left hand side
  • Continue on down the dirt road until you reach the beach’s parking area

Walk for 100 metres to the left (if facing out from the parking lot), and you’ll see Mad Monkey Nacpan Beach.

Note: Air Swift now offers flights directly to El Nido from Boracay and other locations around the Philippines!
